Kite has strong environmental and ethical principles and is passionate about protecting the planet. All of Kite’s garments are manufactured using certified organic cotton or fleece made with at least 50% recycled plastic bottles, and are certified by the Soil Association to GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard). GOTS is recognised as the leading textile standard for products made from organic fibers and companies must meet a set of strict environmental and social criteria to achieve annual certification. All the elements in its supply chain – ranging from the cotton grower to embroiderers – have been successfully inspected to ensure they meet comprehensive organic and ethical standards.

Piccalilly

It is the leading UK company to develop muslin swaddling blankets and manufacture all organic clothing to the highest ethical standards.
For babies, organic cotton is safer to wear, especially on delicate skin. Their organic cotton clothes are certified to GOTS standards and gently processed throughout the entire manufacturing process to ensure the end product is super soft and free from toxic chemicals.

Piccalilly’s organic cotton is sourced from a very special project called Chetna Organic, a fair-trade cotton programme with a mission to improve the livelihood of smallholder farmers by making their farm systems more sustainable and profitable. The Chetna farmers also own a 10% share in the factory that makes Piccalilly’s clothes.

Piccalilly pays a fair price for their clothing and the result is that the people who make its ranges receive a living wage and extra benefits including free transportation to work, company sponsored meals, healthcare and funding for their childrens' education.
